Robben & Persie to skip Italy Opener

Holland midfield duo Arjen Robben and Robin Van Persie will both miss Holland’s opening match against Italy. This comes at least for some good news for the Italian camp who have suffered the loss of Cannavaro while Christian Panucci is also a doubt for next tomorow’s match.

Robben is added to the Dutch injury list together with van Persie

Robben suffered a groin injury and with Italy having to win their Euro 2008 opener this cannot but make it slightly easier for the Azzurri where morale is high and they are more than ready to get the party started.

Van Persie’s fitness is still doubtful and he is on the verge of missing Holland’s Euro 2008 Opener
